BearRider is StormRider's bear-market partner: a short-only strategy for futures, built for falling markets. On 4h candles it waits until a coin's 50-day trend is falling, sells short when the Supertrend turns down, and buys back when the Supertrend turns up again or the downtrend ends. Every position has a stop-loss that follows the trend line down. There is no fixed take-profit, so a few long drops pay for the small losses in between. In rising or sideways markets it mostly holds no position, sometimes for weeks or months. Run it next to StormRider on a different coin or exchange account: the app allows one running bot per coin and account. Futures only: on a spot market it does not trade.
Each bot's return on this version since it became stable (at most the last 30 days), averaged over bots with 5+ trades on it; drawdown marks open positions to their last stored price. Live bots only, else paper bots.

Checked once on 10 coins never used to design it (DOT, ATOM, NEAR, AAVE, UNI, BCH, ETC, FIL, OP, INJ): Bybit USDT perpetuals, each coin from its listing (2021-22) to Oct 2026, 4h candles, 20% of the balance per trade (the same position size as these presets), fees and slippage included, funding not included. The settings were fixed on 13 other coins before this test. Tested in Oct 2026 with version 1.0. Includes coins that were never used to design the strategy. Past results don't guarantee future ones.
